§07 · Editorial Policy

Plain-language summaryEditorial Policy

Every article and resource on this site tells you who wrote it, whether it was a partnership, and whether money changed hands. We do not gate thought leadership behind email forms. We use AI tools to support research, drafting, and production, and every published piece, including our website pages, has a named human owner accountable for substance, claims, and voice. When we work with a partner or sponsor, we label it clearly at the top of the piece. Applies to everything we publish on cohesioninsight.ai.

7.1Why this policy exists

Attribution is how readers, search engines, and language models know who is speaking. Three things drive this policy. The US Federal Trade Commission requires "clear and conspicuous" disclosure whenever material value changes hands between publisher and partner. Search engines treat unclear third-party content as a spam signal. And AI answer engines use author metadata to decide who to cite as the source, which means unclear attribution defaults the citation to the domain owner and can misrepresent an outside contributor's work.

7.2The four cases we label

Every article or resource on cohesioninsight.ai falls into one of four buckets. The label at the top of the article and the metadata behind the page differ for each.

7.2.1Solo Cohesion Insight authorship

Author is a Cohesion Insight employee. Standard byline: name, title, publish date. No eyebrow or disclosure needed. Author metadata is set to the individual Cohesion Insight team member; publisher is Cohesion Insight, Inc. This is the default case for original Cohesion Insight thought leadership and product writing.

7.2.2Guest author (external contributor)

The piece was written by someone outside Cohesion Insight and no compensation or material value changed hands. Byline shows the guest's real name, title, and company (not Cohesion Insight's). A Guest author eyebrow appears above the headline. A short "About the author" block appears below the article with the guest's bio and a link. Author metadata is set to the guest, not Cohesion Insight. This case covers industry experts, customers, and outside operators contributing original writing.

7.2.3Partner co-authored work

Both Cohesion Insight and a partner organization contributed content and no payment changed hands. A dual byline names both authors with their titles and company affiliations. An In partnership with [Partner] eyebrow appears above the headline. An "About this partnership" callout explains what each side contributed and confirms that no compensation changed hands. Author metadata carries both organizations' contributors.

7.2.4Sponsored content

Money or material value changed hands. Either Cohesion Insight paid the partner to appear, or the partner paid Cohesion Insight to publish. A Sponsored disclosure bar appears at the top of the article in a treatment distinct from regular eyebrows, and a single-line note under the byline names the sponsor and confirms who had editorial control (for example, “Sponsored by [Partner]. Cohesion Insight retained editorial control.”). Outbound links to the sponsor's site carry the rel="sponsored" attribute per search-engine guidance. The sponsor field in article metadata is set to the sponsoring organization. For unusual arrangements (multi-party deals, sponsor review rights, or anything a standard reader would not assume), we add a fuller disclosure block below the byline. We will not publish sponsored content that misrepresents the underlying commercial arrangement.

7.3Adjacent formats

Customer stories and case studies. Byline stays as the Cohesion Insight writer who conducted the interview. The customer's company appears prominently and a "Featuring" subtitle names them. If the customer had review rights over quotes attributed to them, that's a standard courtesy, not a disclosure.

Interviews and Q&A. Byline is the Cohesion Insight interviewer, with the expert named prominently in the subhead and a short bio block. The editorial framing is Cohesion Insight's, so this is not a guest post.

7.4Our stance on AI-generated content

Cohesion Insight uses AI tools responsibly to support research, ideation, organization, drafting, editing, and production. We believe AI can help teams work more efficiently. It does not replace human judgment, original thinking, subject-matter expertise, or editorial accountability.

This applies to everything we publish under the Cohesion Insight name, including website pages, blog articles, reports, newsletters, social posts, product and marketing copy, customer-facing resources, and public presentations.

Every published piece has a named human owner. AI may assist the process. A human makes the final decisions about substance, claims, accuracy, voice, and publication. If a specific piece is substantially AI-generated rather than AI-assisted, we label it as AI-generated at the top of the article.

7.5Data, quotes, and citations

External data, charts, statistics, and quotes are inline-cited with a real link back to the source. This applies to every article regardless of authorship. When we cite third-party research, we link to the primary source, not to a summary of it.

7.6Corrections

When we find or are told about a material error in a published piece, we correct it in place and add a dated correction note at the bottom of the article. Minor typographical fixes are made silently. We do not remove published articles unless legally required to do so; if a piece is no longer accurate we mark it as outdated rather than deleting it.

7.7Pitching a guest post or partnership

We work with outside contributors and partner organizations when the topic and POV fit. Guest posts should be original writing not previously published elsewhere. Partnership pitches should specify what each side would contribute. Send pitches to [email protected]. We respond within two weeks and reserve editorial control over the final piece.

This policy applies to cohesioninsight.ai and any Cohesion Insight-branded newsletter, resource, or downloadable asset. Cohesion Insight, Inc. reserves the right to update this policy; the current version is always at this URL. Last updated August 2026.
